Professor Noam Chomsky is one of the world’s most remarkable public intellectuals. A social scientist and American academic, he has been described as the father of modern linguistics. Professor Chomsky was the 2011 recipient of the Sydney Peace Prize for ‘his unfailing moral courage and critical analysis of democracy and power’.
