Vanna’s love for film-making began at the tender age of 17 when he picked up a handycam and discovered the art of storytelling. Establishing Australian video production Roar Footage was the next logical step after building over a decade of experience working in broadcast television with works featured on Channel 7, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, SBS and Network TEN. Vanna’s work has spanned corporate video production, event documentation, features films and music videos. Taking big bold ideas and weaving them into beautiful thought-provoking videos that spark conversation and inspire change is what Vanna does best. Vanna is an award winning cinematographer and Member of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
Platon studied at the University of NSW (Australia) and The Jakarta Institute of Arts (Indonesia). After spending 3 years working as an assistant director on film sets he started directing his own work in 1998. Platon has spent many years directing music videos, documentaries and tv commercials in various countries with clients that include Coca-Cola, Sony Music, Google, Mitsubishi, Unilever, Warner Music and Yamaha. He has 2 MTV Music Video Awards. In 2005 Platon began the slow transition into film. His first 3 shorts Para-Soul, Sunrise and Lakemba screened at various film festivals including St Kilda, Singapore, London, Busan, Brisbane and Vancouver. Platon received Best Director’s Award at Slamdance Film Festival for his first feature film Alvin’s Harmonious World of Opposites. He continues to direct TV commercials and documentaries.
Krystal is a producer helping businesses craft charismatic, truth-led brands through a combination of strategic video storytelling and creative execution. She brings an energetic willingness to untangle the clutter and demystify the video storytelling process through overseeing all stages of production, from ideation through to final delivery. Hailing from a background in law and marketing, Krystal cofounded Roar Footage and works with an unstoppable team of creatives for a wide range of charismatic brands including both emerging and existing companies, startups and NGOs.
